I have photographed two weddings at the top floor of the B.O.B. in downtown Grand Rapids (which is overseen by Gilmore Catering), and I have always been impressed. First of all, the place is beautiful. From the skywalk leading into the space, to the wide views of downtown, and the beautiful lighting, everything is perfect. Furthermore, the staff is always excellent, super polite and helpful. Being there is always a treat, and whenever anyone asks me for recommendations for wedding venues in Grand Rapids, I always say the third floor of The B.O.B. I can't recommend it enough.
The whole thing turned out great! We really enjoyed the food and Charlie was fantastic to work with. It couldn't have gone better. Than you again for everything!!
It was the most perfect day! Everyone at Paddock Place went above and beyond to make sure everything was amazing, and Nicole Dingman Photography was so easy and fun to work with! I wouldn't have changed a thing for our special day!
My husband and I just had our wedding reception at The BOB this past Saturday. It was the end of a magical wedding experience as we were married in Italy. I wanted to write you and let you know how incredibly blessed we felt to have worked with Madeline. She was nothing but exceptional and answered all of our questions with patience and grace. She was always there for us and we never felt like we were a bother (even though at times I am sure we were!). It is obvious that Madeline loves what she does and is in the right business and The Gilmore Collection should feel so fortunate to have such a rock-star on their team. As a supervisor I know what it is like to only hear the bad so I wanted to reach out to you and make sure that you knew you had someone special on your team and you should be proud of her. I am a little sad that it is all over but I will have wonderful memories forever. You can be sure that I will be recommending The BOB, and Madeline, to others who are looking for a great venue place that knows how to treat their clients.
All of the food was amazing! Guests keep telling us how great everything tasted. Brandon and I both agree that it was delicious!
The staff was PHENOMINAL!! Very well organized and excellent service! Our guests and we were very pleased with not only the service but also the food!

Amazing staff and service! We have received multiple comments from our guests about how beautiful the event space was, how great the food was, and how both bartenders seemed to remember everyone's drink order. My husband and I wish we could take credit for the success that our wedding was, but truthfully it was just about all Baker! We would highly recommend to anyone looking to host an event.
Wanted to thank you for all your help with our rehearsal dinner. The setup was great and the food was good. The service was very good. I would definitely recommend your servers and accommodations to others. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good time. Again, thank you for all your help in making happen.
Everything about our wedding reception in Saugatuck was amazing. I can't begin to tell you how thrilled we were with everything. Kim was fantastic to work with and Charlie was absolutely incredible. I was truly impressed, as were all of our guests; you made it seem effortless. And the food! Every single person that attended the wedding told me the food was fantastic.
We received SO many compliments on the food, and I personally scarfed down my entire plate, it was so delicious! In addition, I really appreciate your attention to detail and all of our thorough planning meetings and many (many) e-mails. We really enjoyed working with both Kim and Luke. Kim, you had so many helpful planning tips and I very much appreciate you being direct and helping us stick to our budget. Luke, you were so professional yet still fun at the wedding. You handled the keg situation with tact. I was so shocked we ran out of the first keg during the cocktail hour! Our friends were having so much fun :) And I'm glad that Andy was able to pay the bill for the extra keg. It was great that you had us identify someone beforehand at our meeting on Thursday before the wedding because it made that decision a lot smoother the day of. The bartenders and staff were so helpful and gracious. It was so nice that someone was able to carry my plate for me through the buffet and to my table. We also appreciated the cake cutting and placing on the buffet table! Overall, our day was better than we even imagined and Gilmore Catering was a huge reason for that. Thank you so much! The B.O.B. has always been my top choice to celebrate my wedding & after all is said and done, I am still very happy with our choice. The coordinators made everything for our big day effortless. They were constantly in contact with myself and others involved making sure everything was set and perfect. During our reception I saw them monitoring and making sure everything was going smoothly & we had no issues at all. The B.O.B. is such a fun environment to have a reception & every single guest who attended had a blast.

We had the most fantastic weekend!!! Your staff, the food, service and venue were absolutely amazing!!! In particular, the Roast Beef was the best I have ever had and the Mac & Cheese was also delicious. The Bar staff was excellent and very accommodating to everyone. Finally, the venue space was simply beautiful - we received many, many compliments from guests. Thank you for all of your assistance, hard work and attentiveness.
I wanted to reach out to say how fantastic Felicia Dykema is. My daughter and I met with her several months ago to reserve a room for my daughter’s rehearsal dinner that was rescheduled a couple of times because of COVID. From our initial meeting and several emails since then, Felicia has been super professional, easy-going, nice to work with, and very responsive. Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the rehearsal dinner and are grateful that Gilmore Catering is being flexible and will return our deposit. I just wanted to thank you and say that Felicia does a really nice job representing Paddock Place.
We were very pleased with your staff and especially Charlie. The day and evening was close to perfection, we could not have been happier. Still cleaning up after the big party, we are all reflecting on a wonderful wedding. I received a multitude of compliments on the catering staff and more on the food! It was delicious, no exaggeration.
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!! I cannot begin to express our heartfelt thanks for an amazing experience with Baker Lofts Events. Your venue is gorgeous - the food is delicious - and your service is outstanding. We loved every part of this experience. I cannot tell you how many people told us that the food was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. There were so many people, as well, who had never heard of this venue, and everyone truly loved it! The set up was AMAZING! Thank you, so much, for taking the time to make things absolutely perfect. Luke, you were great to work with Friday night. You were so accommodating and had absolutely everything under control. Your professionalism is so appreciated, and I just have to say that it really was outstanding.Each of you helped make this day absolutely perfect. We just had our wedding at The L3vel at the B.O.B. and Charlie was our manager that night for Gilmore Catering, and I can honestly say I have no constructive feedback for him or his team. They did a perfect job. The bartending was stellar, the food was amazing, and Charlie did an amazing job keeping everything on time that night. Couldn't have asked for better food, and I got several compliments on the food, and a few of the guests said "it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding, EVER!" Great job Gilmore and The B.O.B. for making our day so very special!
The day was absolutely perfect!!! First, I will start by saying the service was great! On to dinner...All of the food was so great, but that roasted pig was AMAZING!!! We received non stop compliments on dinner all night long. One person even told us not only was it the best wedding meal they'd ever had, but possibly the best barbecue also! To say dinner was a hit, I think is an understatement! The only issue we ran into was that we ran out of plates halfway through people going back for seconds, guess we didn't know it would be such a hit!! (And I think everyone was pretty much done with seconds by the time I noticed anyways, so not a huge deal.) We cannot thank you and the Gilmore team enough for the fabulous meal! Will definitely recommend the pig roast to anyone getting married in the Grand Rapids area!
